Playing with the Queen of Hearts

January 30th, 2010

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend (and photograph) a fundraising event for cancer research last night. This was my first chance to meet Denise Curtis, or any other cancer survivor, on a personal level. I feel lucky that I met Denise, irregardless. She is so infectiously positive.

I’ve got to say that the event was a lot of fun! The number of people that stopped by to show their support was incredible. What a great group of people!

Denise, if you see this, I wanted you to know that your spirit and your smile are contagious! In fact, I’m smiling right now just looking at the images. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your celebration.

Project 52, Week 3 – Mountains

January 24th, 2010

“Mountains”.

I live in an area that offers me a wonderful year-round view of 7 snow-capped peaks on almost a daily basis. Unfortunately this past week was cloudy and stormy and my nearby friends only had the chance to show themselves on Saturday. And I had to work…

Making an image of the local mountains just seemed too easy. (I’ve already got 1000’s in the archives)

So…

I decided to include this image of some secluded mountains from last Sunday’s road trip into the far reaches of SE Oregon.

Project 52, Week 2 – Youth

January 16th, 2010

This week’s theme is youth. I had numerous ideas as to how to interpret this idea. Luckily, I had a few visitors to help me out.

I’ll be out of town tomorrow, so I thought I should post this tonight.
