Samples From This Afternoon
I had the opportunity to make some images of a friends kids today. They were full of energy! Kaylee and Sean were a bit camera shy, but Ashlynn was very enthusiastic. Here are a couple of samples from the shoot:

Those of you that know me (or have been following the blog) know that I enjoy making images in the dark of night. With this week’s theme being “Moon and Stars”, I thought I would try something a little different. After such a great day yesterday which included seeing images of the snow covered mountains from friend’s cell phones, I did some investigating and found that the almost full moon would be setting very near sunrise. Of course I had to get up early this morning just to see what I could find. What I found was spectacular! I hope you enjoy my view!

I’m just a few houses down from the locally famous Pilot Butte Drive In. They have been known as the best burgers in Bend for several years running.
They also make a pretty good milkshake. My 13 yr old son has apparently figured that out.
Yep, that’s an image of the trash can in my kitchen… It’s a minor indulgence that I am fine with.

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time today with some exceptional photographers in a Portland studio learning about things like studio lighting and off camera flash. The folks I met up with were virtual friends, until today. It was nice to meet Hal, Heather, and (finally) Katie face-to-face.
I didn’t make many images, as I was too busy taking in the lessons being taught. The technical info from Hal and Heather was very enlightening. This was my first time working with a professional model, and I’ve got to say that Erika was incredible! Heather and Katie showed me more about how to work with the subject. I really enjoyed the “in-the-field” type of work that I experienced on that barren roof top.
Here are a couple of images that I managed to capture today…

Thanks for having me!
