I arose today to the sound of the wintery wind blowing. Soon after, snow flurries started their on again, off again routine. It seemed as though this would be a great day to stay inside, watch some futbol, and take care of some chores.
I went through some of my boxes of old stuff, and realized that I really didn’t need most of what was included. I smiled at some of what I found. I hung a photo or two on my long yearning walls. Heck, I even threw some stuff in the laundry, made some pork loin in the crock pot, and then decided to look outside again.
That’s when it happened.
We have been under siege from Mother Nature for the last few days and it’s been pretty dreary around here. When I stopped for a moment and looked out the window, I saw light. Really cool light. And birds. Hundreds of them seemingly were attacking the berries that were still left of the Mountain Ash in my front yard.
Here are some images I made during the short time that the warm light fell into my yard…
Just another reason to always be paying attention to what is going on, no matter how busy you think you are.
