The Light Was Amazing Tonight!
And I’m glad that my buddy Mike dragged me away from my computer screen long enough to get out and make some images!

Thanks!

I’ve fallen way behind in my Project 52 posts. With all that is going on in my life right now, please forgive me. I thought I would spend some time today working on a theme that might describe why. Here’s a photographic collage of what I’ve been up to…

After more than a year of caring for; watching; learning; and photographing my Jalapeño plant’s show, I think it’s finally time to pluck some of the results and revel in the goodness.

Watcha think?
After watching Spain win the World Cup in a lackluster game, John (who was here from D.C.) and I headed up into the mountains for some piscatorial pursuits. We stopped by Todd Lake and found it to be very crowded, so we headed a little further and ended up on the upper Deschutes.
Now, I am fairly proficient when it comes to using a fly rod, but John showed me how it was really done. He is both eloquent and knowledgeable in this stretch of river.
Me? Not so good figuring out his techniques.
I soon found myself shrugging off his success and pulling my camera out. Heck, there were flowers all around us. Who needs to catch a stinkin’ fish anyway!
Here are a couple of images from the day…
I like the bokeh on this one.
